Temporary research fieldworkers, Central London

We are looking for people help us carry out fieldwork as part of an evaluation project of digital interpretation at Tate Modern in London. You would need to be available between 17-30th May from between 11am – 6pm. The work will include recruiting and interviewing visitors in the gallery.


  • Languages: Must speak fluent English.
  • You must be personable, find it easy to engage people in conversation and be able to draw out answers through conversation
  • You should be confident, able to take plenty of rejections and keep going.
  • You should be fit and energetic: you will be on your feet for much of the day
  • You should be self-motivated and able to think on your feet: you will be working independently for some of the time
  • You should be able to represent FG+W and the Gallery with grace and diplomacy


  • Previous research experience is desirable but not required
  • Experience working with the public in a customer service capacity
  • Experience working in museums or other visitor attractions
  • Familiarity with issues being studied: digital technology, museum interpretation

Pay rate: £14 per hour
